Hari Om Chinmayam Students, Chinmayam Parents and Chinmaya Yuva Kendras (CHYK),

We hope this letter finds you all well…

Over the past couple of years the young adults at CMWRC have developed a special appreciation for spending time with each other.  They have been hanging out and reading Self Unfoldment, discussing the Batman movies, and organizing seva projects.  By doing so they are enjoying, learning and serving.

Reading about these dynamic CHYK Satsangas can make others jealous!  Why should the CHYKs have all the benefit?  They should not!  Chinmayam students should have just as much benefit.  Satsanga is the first step to Enlightenment.  Satsanga is infallible.  Satsanga is fun!

With the approval and blessings of Swami Dheeranandaji and Acharya Vilasiniji, we are introducing Satsang Socials (SATSO), and the Chinmayam CHYK Connection (CCC).  SATSO is a satsanga program for Chinmayam students and CCC is a guidance program for the CHYKs.

Right now students and parents meet once a week on a Saturday or Sunday morning.  Even then most miss each other because of the timings of classes.  As such, we want to organize a time for all the Chinmayam students and parents to get together in an informal setting at an informal time.  The plan is to have these SATSOs every two months or so, on a Friday evening at one of your homes.  All Chinmayam students will be invited to join in the get together where everyone could play games (Taboo woohoo!), watch movies, and just talk about what is going on with everyone’s lives.  And Chinmayam parents we hope you will support these SATSOs by offering your time and effort.

The philosophy behind CCC is for the CHYKs to support their younger brothers and sisters as they transition from highschool to university, from Bala Vihar to CHYK.  Naturally, guidance will be shared with all participants as to how to optimize this synergistic relationship.

SATSO and CCC are completely voluntary.  Nonetheless, i encourage all the students to join their friends and encourage their parents to support the same.

For our first SATSO i will be joining you all.  And at this time I will speak about CCC to all involved.  Stay tuned for more details!
